March Zwitter from Celeste via Stephanie

Our last meeting we made the centerpieces for the luncheon. We made 99
flowers (we were told they HAD to be in 3s so we could not go for an
even 100)
The reason we stayed at Shirley's to complete the project besides the
good food and drink was also so we could watch The Good Wife together.

The next meeting is at Mary's with McHenry Group. Details to follow from her.

Save the Dates:
Monday March 22nd- Watch ZTA Erin Andrews on Dancing with the Stars!
Sunday -March 28th - Early Bird Deadline for Zeta Day Registration
Tuesday April  6th - Meeting at Mary's in Huntley
Saturday April 17th - Zeta Day at Highland Park Country Club
Tuesday May 18th - Potluck Dinner with Collegiates at Janice's

We are still doing the ??? basket for the group donation to Zeta Day- Trudy is collecting items for it.

Also, a colleague/friend of mine had her kindergartener daughter
diagnosised with Leukemia this past fall and just had a bone marrow
transplant from her. They have been living at Children's Memorial in
Milwaukee. I hate to ask you to collect one more thing but any poptops
you can save I will have donated to Ronal McDonald House. Also if you
can consider giving blood and even encourage having your children (over
age 16) to start giving blood too. I have been seeing where all those
platelets I give go and how much they are appreciated.

Vote for Stephanie! She's the Green Geek & your president.

The Next Green Face of LUSH 2008

So I need everyone to vote for me in this contest. It's with my
favorite cosmetic company called LUSH. I have recently switched to all
their natural haircare and skincare products because I've always wanted
to and I finally decided that it was just better for the environment
& me! So everyone you know needs to vote for me .... please!

I forgot to include a few things that we do at home for being as
green as can be. So I wanted to add them here in case anyone needed
more of a reason to vote or tell everyone they know to vote as well.

I've exclusively breastfed Shane (saves on waste, carbon production, and water consumption)

At Shane's first birthday we expressly requested no new gifts. If
people wanted to get him something I suggested going to a second hand
store or looking on freecycle or re-gifting an old toy (several of are
friends did this!!!)

I take Chad to the train station instead of him driving into the city for work OR Chad will work from home most of the time.

For my garden in the spring I will have a rain barrel that will
collect the raifall and I'll use that water for the garden instead of
the hose.

We as a family are always trying to find ways to be greener. I hope
you think I'm worthy of your vote. If you don't care . . . vote anyway!
Follow the link and begin voting on April 7th through May 11th. You can
vote once a day . . . so if you don't want a daily reminder email from
me clogging up your in box remember to vote! I recommend setting the link as your homepage so you don't forget :)
